Confirmation popup problems

Always. And I’ve suggested a few things about how to solve this issue before.

As stated above,

I know that this is a common bug that happens to Trezor when it links with Metamask and have read through many threads here & reddit.

Tried most of the solutions but still cant seem to solve this annoying bug.

Using Trezor Model T and use chrome, both is updated to latest.

I’ve clear my cache on chrome, unplug n replug in Trezor, check my usb ports as well.

It works sometimes after 1 or 2 transactions then it will go missing again.

Thank you and hope somebody can assist on this.

I have found a solution for the “Confirmation popup appears and closes in a few seconds”. I have had the same problem for more than one year and can´t access my coins on DEFI protocols with metamask.

The solution is easy: Download Microsoft EDGE + metamask + connect to your Trezor. It will say that Metamask is working primarily with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, agree and continue with EDGE and it will be working!

In one WORD: use EDGE and it will be OK!

Interesting. Is this always the case? How long have you been using Edge in combination with Metamask and Trezor?

Hi everyone,
I solved this issue. (Don`t click on the checkboxes druing the prompt!)

Here step by step

First to clean up:

  1. Delete cach
  2. restart your PC/MAC
  3. Insure browser is on latest version and latest firmaware installed on trezor.

After this is done you should now get the prompt (once) again. DO NOT CLICK on the checkboxes!!!

  1. “Don’t ask me again”
  2. “Remeber this device”

After NOT clicking the checkboxes it has been working fine for me.

Cheers

Hit i cant get throug loading…any suggestions ?

Hi @PPB,

can you please specify which wallet you are connecting to?

Anyway, confirm your configuration meets the following points:

  • Make sure your Trezor is running the latest firmware.
  • Also, make sure you have the latest version of Trezor Bridge, you should see “trezord” process running in your activity/system/task manager. If you cannot see the process running in the background, please try to reinstall it again. The latest version of Trezor Bridge can be downloaded from this source Trezor Suite
  • Use supported browsers only. Either Chrome or Firefox (try both and try using Incognito/privacy mode as well).
  • Clear your browser’s cache and make sure they are up to date.
  • Not only using a VPN, but also certain advanced Firewall or Antivirus settings, browser extensions (AdBlock, Privacy Badger, etc.), may cause these issues, therefore please try to disable them as well.
  • On top of that, use only one application/website/browser tab with Trezor at a time. It is possible that they are clashing with each other.

I’m facing the same annoying problem. I installed EDGE, and it only works two times.

Ialready ordered a Ledger, but I will need to approve the transactions moving funds from the Trezor.

Any official support from Trezor?

Hi @plfmendes,

please check the previous post Confirmation popup problems - #26 by radekP

Also, keep in mind that Edge is not an officially supported browser (Chrome or Firefox are)

I have done all that.
The only reason I use Chrome is for the Metamask with Trezor.
I will try to uninstall both Chrome and Trezor Suite. Clean all the Windows cache and temporary files.
The next try I will only do is to reformat all the PCs to move my funds to a Ledger…

Let us know the results.

So basically I attached my Trezor to my MetaMask and have a passcode and hidden wallet… Whenever I would transact with MetaMask (say, to send crypto from Metamask to another wallet) I would get a pop-up in the browser (using Brave), I would enter my passcode, then I would have to confirm some things on the Trezor itself… Now that confirmation window to enter my passcode pops up and then instantly closes, so I can never get to enter the code and all my transactions hang… I don’t think it is a pop-up blocker or antivirus (though I supposed it could be but I disabled them to test and the window still instantly closes) and I do not use a VPN… I am up to date on Trezor Firmware and newest version of MM… Please help

Same for me. Been frustrating the last two days. I’m on Windows 10 with latest version of Trezor Suite and Bridge. I end task the bridge, unplug and plug in the trezor and it still fails. I’ve also tried it across two difference browsers (Brave, Vivaldi). Very frustrating trying complete simple transactions.

Hi,

the closing MetaMask pop-up window is a known issue with MetaMask. Make sure to try all the tips mentioned in Confirmation popup problems - #26 by radekP

If the issue still persists, please try to connect to MetaMask on a different computer.

Hello,
I have the same problem as other customers: confirmation popup is not available which make any action in metamask fail…
I already try the tips from the post above.
I see that this issue has been raised for some time already. Any chance Trezor will soon find a solution???
I mean I cannot do 2 transactions in a row without that problem showing up…
any feedback appreciated
thx

Hello using trezor one with metamask…the Connect V9 popup window disappears automatically, sometimes it doesn’t but most times it does and cannot complete transaction. I know this is a known issue. MS Edge work for a while but now it doesn’t Chrome, firefox work intermittently.

Any permanent fixes to this issue?. thanks

Ahhh, awesome to see that something from 2022, still hasn’t been fixed. And the best fixes are don’t check remember device or use edge…BRUH. I just love that now it doesn’t even work after a few tries anymore, I wanted to restake with eigenlayer today but nope, trezor said no. It’s funny cause the other day I wrote them enraged on twitter and instead of getting a we’re working on it, I got blocked. Worst mistake I ever made buying a Trezor, the time it wastes me, it’s unbelievable.

Hi, same issue happens to me. It worked perfectly for whole time until now and I cant connect my trezor to metamask anymore. Nor to sign the transactions. PLEASE HELP!!! I ASK TO DEVS TO FIX IT!!! Thanks a lot!

Same problem here with Trezor T on Google Chrome. I’ve been dealing with this issue for months and I’m getting really really fed up!

I followed the instructions below to a tee multiple times with no avail:

→ forumDOTtrezorDOTio/t/confirmation-popup-problems/8066/26
→ trezorDOTio/support/a/issues-with-metamask

If I don’t get a satisfying reply, i.e. one that solves the problem, I’m switching to Ledger and starting a shit posting campaign on Twitter.

What is the solution to the “closing popup” problem?

And why has this problem been going on for YEARS?

Yes, you read that right!

FOR YEARS! Here’s the evidence. Look at the first post:

→ forumDOTtrezorDOTio/t/pop-up-window-dissappears-when-confirming-metamask-transaction/5549/36

And don’t you dare to critique the harsh tone of this message. Critiquing this message would be a diversion from the heart of the matter and an implicit admission of your powerlessness and incompetence.

The only correct answer is a step by step solution to the “closing popup” problem.

Get your sh*t together, guys. Solve that problem for once and for all!

I had the same problem trying to access my Safe Vault.
“There was an error accessing your Trezor accounts - Error: Error: Iframe timeout”

Disabling my adblock (uBlock Origin) for the Safe website solved this issue.
