When I connect my Trezor One device to my laptop, the screen lights up instantly as expected. However, right after the PIN entry screen appears, the display suddenly turns off a few seconds later and never turns back on — the screen remains completely black.
Sometimes I manage to enter the PIN, but as soon as the next confirmation step appears on the Trezor screen, it turns off again after just a few seconds and stays off.
I have already replaced the USB cable, tried different USB ports, and tested the device on multiple operating systems, including Windows 10 and Linux. The issue persists in all cases — the screen consistently turns off a few seconds after lighting up.
Although the warranty period has already expired (2021 purchase date), I would expect a security hardware device like this to have a much longer lifespan. Could you please clarify why this issue might be happening and whether there are any repair or recovery options available?
