If i update my currently running Suite to the latest/newest version, will that “new” suite still recognise my trezor one with software i installed on the T1 about 3 months ago ?

Yes you will be able to use Trezor with such FW with Trezor Suite however it is recommended to update your firmware as well since it’s the only way to expand the functionality of your Trezor, to apply new security measures, and to enable newly developed features.
