Native Segwit Account Not Restored After Recovery

Hi there!

I am very distressed as I am writing this message. Hoping that someone would be able to guide me and explain what could have happened.

Last night, after a gap of several months I connected my trezor one to my laptop and opened trezor suite. I noticed an update was available, so i updated the suite to the latest available. My trezor connected as a standard wallet and displayed my account bitcoin #1 with my balance. While navigating the suite i noticed the firmware needed an update, so i initiated the update. Confident that I have the backup of seed phrase from when i initially set up the device, I proceeded. During the update perhaps the usb connection got lose and the update got interrupted. Now, trezor asked me to recover my wallet. I entered my 24 word seed phrase. Now, trezor suite shows my previous trezor connection with the BTC balance (cached) as disconnected, and created a new trezor as connected. The new recovered account shows my legacy segwit accounts, and the legacy account. I could see transactions in them, but it created an entirely new native segwit account with 0 balance.
How did this happen?

  • I have never used a passphrase in my account. My disconnected cached trezor shows as ‘Standard Wallet’, confirming that it was not a passphrase wallet.
  • I checked the derivative paths, 1/2/3/4/5, but it did not find anything.

I am extremely distressed. Please help.

Thank you.
