Concerns with the Firmware Update for the Trezor Model T and Transaction Failures

I’m contacting you in order to ask for help and guidance with a few problems I’ve been having with my the Trezor Model T. I recently tried to update my firmware from 2.3.6 to 2.5.0, the most recent version, but things didn’t go according to plan.

Here’s a quick summary of what transpired:

Firmware upgrade Procedure: To upgrade the firmware, I adhered to the Trezor Suite’s recommendations. The gadget disconnected and reconnect a few times while updating. The update appeared to finish eventually, but the device remained on the “rebooting” window for an oddly extended period of time.

It seems to work once I manually restarted the device, but I’m not sure if the latest firmware was installed correctly.

Transaction Failed: I tried transferring a few bitcoins from my Trezor account to a different wallet after the update. A “transaction signature failure” error message was displayed each time the transaction failed. The issue persisted even after I verified that my receiving address was correct and that there were no other problems.

Device Behaviour: The device has begun acting strangely ever since the update. When attached to my computer, it occasionally takes longer to recognise and occasionally the touch screen becomes unresponsive. I’ve given it multiple restarts, but the problems still exist.

  • Has anyone else had such issues regarding their the Trezor Model T a firmware after updating? :thinking:

First, I would like to mention that the latest firmware for Trezor Model T is 2.7.2 as you can see at Firmware changelog.

Make sure you use the latest version of Trezor Suite (v24.7.2) and update to this latest firmware. If the issues persist after the update, let us know.
