Can't generate fresh receive address for Solana

I’m using Trezor Suite 24.7.2. Up until last week I’d only received/transferred Bitcoin to my cold wallet, and generated new addresses each time (or the Suite did it automatically - don’t recall).

Last week I did a successful small test transfer of Solana from an exchange to my cold wallet. Now I’d now like to transfer in the rest, but cannot generate a new address; it just gives me the previous address I used for the small test deposit.

Even though the help documentation states that “You can use the Show full address button repeatedly to generate multiple receiving addresses.”, the Suite won’t let me do it…just keeps bringing up the old address.

What am I missing? Can Trezor Suite not generate fresh receive addresses for Solana?

The fresh address feature only applies to UTXO based coins such as Bitcoin and Cardano.

Solana (and Ethereum) are account based, which means that every address is its own account: you can’t have a joint balance across multiple addresses, because it’s not possible to spend from multiple addresses in the same transaction.
