Hello. I’m new to Trezor. I just bought Trezor 5 and set it up ok, but trying to connect to Metamsk get the option to “verify” with the error “Wrong derivation path for selected account. m/44’/60’/0’/0”.
Seems to me it is a common problem. I’ve tried all the advised fixes I can find including un-installing and re-installing extensions, software etc but the error persists.
Does anyone actually know what the real issue is here? Watching/reading tutorials almost never shows examples of the “verify” option let alone what to do with it. They all make it look so smooth and easy completely omitting any reference to this “verify” option. It appears to me to be only a recent innovation regarding the connecting of Trezor 5 with Metamask.
Another member’s post with the same issue who ignored “verify” had no negative side effects and I’m feeling like I may have no option to follow suit.
Some insightful practical clarification from experienced members here would be great.
