Trezor Suite - SOL to USDC via different chains

Hello, I would like to convert SOL to USDC using the inbuild function of the Trezor Suite. I have two questions reagrding that:

  1. I have SOL coins deposited in my SOL wallet, yet, I get the hint that I do not have any SOL coins and that I should check, wether this network is the right one. I never deposited USDC on my SOL account before. Is that a bug and can I safely ignore that?
  2. Can I swap SOL to USDC using the Poligon netwerk for eth?

I just want to be sure that I do not enter a trade that makes me loosing my coins forever.
