Trezor One failing to Connect with Trezor Suite Ubuntu

Hardware: Trezor one

Trezorsuite: 26.3.2 on Ubuntu

Connection mode: USB Cable (that came with the device)

What I am doing:

Connect the device to my laptop, then firing up trezor suite that I downloaded

Trezor Suite screen:

Cannot detect device. Says it is checking for connected trezor but fails. I have tried downloading udev rules, but it still fails

Trezor one screen says Welcome. Please visit <>

No other prompt or information.
