Was directed to wipe device, but the page missing. Hal recommends going through settings. Cannot find settings. Very new to all of this. How do I restart the backup process.
@Mauka7 Please follow these steps to ensure your Trezor device and wallet are set up correctly and securely:
- Wipe the Device:
- Connect your Trezor device and enter your PIN.
- Navigate to Device Settings by clicking on the Settings icon in the top-left corner of Trezor Suite and selecting the Device tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Wipe Device in the Danger Area.
- Reset the Trezor Suite App:
- Open Trezor Suite and navigate to Settings.
- Under the Application tab, find Reset App and click it.
- This will clear any cached data and provide a fresh start for the app.
- Set Up a New Wallet:
- After resetting your device, follow the steps to create a new wallet as we did during your session. You can find detailed instructions for your specific device here:
- Verify Your New Wallet Backup:
- Once your new wallet is created, verify that your new wallet backup (list of words) is accurate.
- In Trezor Suite, go to Device Settings, select Check Backup, and follow the instructions on your Trezor device.

Keep both your old and new wallet backups private and secure. The old backup may still be required to recover funds associated with the previous wallet. Never enter these backups on a computer or app—only use them on your Trezor device.
