Trezor fraudulent website has me concerned

I purchased my Trezor 3 months ago via the official website…but today on twitter I saw a post that apparently there is a fraudulent Trezor website that pops up first on Google search.

My concern is that now I’m questioning whether or not I actually purchased from the legit website and maybe downloaded a fake Trezor suite and am compromised.

When I received my Trezor it was sealed, and i completed the setup and I generated a seed phrase on the device. I never was prompted to type anything on the computer.

Am I safe? Can a fake Trezor suite app extract the seed phrase? How can I know for sure? Thanks.

If you still has a box that it came with, check on the postage label who is the sender? Is it Trezor ?

Make sure http address is correct Trezor(dot)io, anything other than that is probably fake, avoid sponsored search results/ads etc.

Watch on YouTube about crypto /hardware wallets scams, it will help you understand how it works and be aware about process it involve.

Trezor will never contact you, not be email, not by phone call, not by text. If someone did contact you about trezor wallet/crypto generally , it’s a scammer

Be always aware what you confirming on the device screen…

If you have some spare money you can get a extra hard drive or USB SSD and install on it encrypted ‘WindowsToGo’ system, and using it only for crypto, or even Linux

Never take pictures of your seed phrase words or keep it in in the cloud unencrypted or keep in easy access in home.. Best to store it offline, encrypted in few locations.

I think that the basics… Stay SAFE
