Since the 2024 Halving - Bitcoin fee's and transactions are gross and stalling?

I’m no crypto pro by any means…but today:

If I want to send $50 of bitcoin to a wallet, it’s going to cost $60 on Coinbase.

I also have an unconfirmed bitcoin send off a wallet from 4 days ago… unable to bump up fee… still pending.

How is El Salvador even functioning at this point?!

To answer your last question: I stayed in San Salvador for a months. I never saw a Bitcoin sign at any store and I was never asked whether I want to pay other than cash or card. It’s different at El Zonte Bitcoin Beach, but not in El Salvador’s capital.
