Should I have 2 devices? newbie question

I posted this on reddit, but didn’t get any proper replies…

I just bought a Trezor safe 5 (BTC only firmware) for long term storage of BTC. I bought a keep metal aswell for securing my seed phrase.
I also want to hold ETH and ERC20 tokens such as usdt, and udsc.

So my question is, If I buy a 2nd device for ETH, can I use the same seed phrase as my BTC only device, or does that make the security of the BTC only firmware on my first device redundant?

I don’t really want to have to worry about 2 separate seed phrases, and they’ll be stored in the same place, so there’s no reduced physical theft risk by having 2 seed phrases.

Also, Im using separate passphrase wallets for each coin I plan to hold long term. I

So if I want to use just 1 seed phrase, and have multiple passphrase wallets, is there any benefit to having a separate device for my ETH tokens?

Is it only worth getting a 2nd device if I’m going to use a separate seedphrase for that?

Or am I better off changing the firmware on my BTC only device to multi-coin and just use the 1 device for everything?

Would really appreciate some advice on this!

Hello, I have the same dilemma, I want to change my BTC only to universal, so I can load up with more crypto purchases, So I haven’t got the double worry of 2 wallets and 2 seed phrases to remember.
Did you receive a solution in the end? And would you also know to convert the bitcoin only to universal, would the original stored BTC be safe and not lost during the conversion process?
Hope you can help? Thanks
