I think 16 attempts is too many for the PIN until it resets to safe level 3! 16 attempts is too many. Is it possible to download it? Could you add it in future updates? That way we would be safer!

It is actually a pretty solid protection, if you use a secure PIN code, not “1234”, etc.
With each failed attempt, the delay between attempts increases exponentially — after just a few tries, it becomes extremely time-consuming to brute-force. This protects your device even if it’s physically stolen.
Eventually, you can create a wipe code, such as 1234, which means that if someone uses this PIN, the device will be wiped immediately.
