I wanted to share a feature suggestion that I believe may resonate with a subset of users who prefer simplicity and a reduced attack surface.
I’ve noticed that Trezor offers a Bitcoin-only firmware option, which is a great idea for users who want a minimal, focused, and security-oriented experience. I was wondering if there has ever been consideration for a similar approach for other single-asset use cases, specifically XRP. In my case, I am specifically looking to use a hardware wallet as a long-term XRP storage solution with minimal additional features.
While I understand that XRP may not have the same level of demand as Bitcoin in this regard, there are users (myself included) who prefer to dedicate a hardware wallet to a single asset for both simplicity and peace of mind. An XRP-only firmware option could provide a cleaner interface, reduce unnecessary complexity, and align with the same philosophy behind the Bitcoin-only offering.
Even if this is not something currently planned, I wanted to express interest and see if others in the community feel similarly.
Thank you to the Trezor team for continuing to build thoughtful and security-focused products.
