I have a Trezor-T and the touchscreen is starting to fail. (i.e. for transactions requiring you to hold down a button, it keeps thinking we’re lifting a finger and resets the timer over and over… nearly impossible to get it to recognize the finger being held the whole time.)
I understand that i can buy a new trezor and recover the coins from the old to the new, but your recovery FAQs keep talking about it will restore a wallet. I have multiple wallets and multiple different types of coins.
I want to verify:
-
after recover from seed phrases is complete on the new device, will it essentially be EXACTLY like the old Trezor? All wallets and all cryptocurrencies stored on the old one will now be on the new one? Or do you have to restore each wallet and each cryptocurrency type separately?
-
after recovery, do my existing Shamir backup fragments (or whatever they’re called… the various separate parts I’ve stored in multiple places with other people around the world)… will those all still work in the future, or will i have to make new ones and distribute those to the people and locations I used in the past.
Thank you
