I love passphrase protection but I have an important question.
I have all my funds stored in a hidden wallet. If I reinstall Windows or wipe the trezor and then recover my seed, will the same passphrase with all my funds still work and show my funds? What I dont understand is how would this be possible if the passphrase is NOT stored in the device.

Even if you reset your Trezor device and recover it based on your wallet backup, you will be always able to access your hidden wallet(if you remember your passphrase).
Generally, when the same recovery seed is used and the same passphrase is entered, the same wallet (with the same set of addresses) is accessed. There is no exception, public-key cryptography ensures it generates always the same result.
