Passphrase and new safe 7

To start from the beginning, I bought my first safe five years ago, and since then I have acquired about ten more. Recently, I received a new Safe 7, which I can now discard because even when I open it with the “Open previously used” passphrase, it shows that the wallet is empty! On Safe 5, there are no issues, but on Safe 7, it is impossible to access my funds! I like you all, but I don’t understand why you are pushing some ASCII standard after 10 years. Do you know what it costs to migrate everything? Moreover, I write the passphrase on my PC or phone, not on the safe itself. Not to mention that I can lose my funds in the process of migrating to your new standard, which you should have had from the beginning. Do you know how many people use Czech diacritics or other characters that are not in ASCII? At least you should mention this in Safe 7 - if you use something other than ASCII, you won’t be able to access your funds. So what am I supposed to do now? Should I get a wallet from a competitor because you decide that I won’t be able to access my funds even with Safe 5? Should I be afraid to update anything now? Or what? You need to Understand that we are normies. We don’t understand anything and we need simple access without limitations. This seems absurd to me, and after reading the forum, all I see from support is “that’s not our problem.” Or you have to do this or that, and it doesn’t solve ANYTHING!!! Is it so difficult, for example, to create a passphrase from the old safe where it worked with diacritics, for example, “Vajíčka,” and then try to open it on the new Safe 7? What am I supposed to do now? Crazy. We need self-reflection and FIX RIGHT NOW. Thanks a lot for your work and everything with love TheWowEffect.

@thewoweffect thank you very much for letting us know about the issue with entering non-ASCII and special characters on Trezor Safe 7. I can confirm that this was caused by a bug with how Trezor Suite communicates passphrase with Trezor Safe 7 versus other devices. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

Fortunately, we were able to release a hotfix to Trezor Suite earlier today (version 25.11.2) that allows for passphrases with special characters to be entered as expected on other Trezor devices on Trezor Safe 7.

Hope everything now works smoothly for you on Trezor Safe 7.
