My Trezor was hacked, coins taken. Should I factory reset to get a new seed phrase?

Hi, unfortunately I was a victim of a scam, I had lost my coins and after weeks of not being able to get any help I finally found what I thought was a legit support group. I got sent to a website that said my coins were not lost it was that Theta had changed their blockchain and because it was several months since I last logged in I needed to authenticate my Trezor. I knew all the rules of not giving your seed phrase or pin or anything to anyone. But they sent me to a website which looked legit. Anyway they took everything.

So now I would like to still use my Trezor but I don’t know if factory resetting it will give me a new seed phrase or if I have to buy a new one?

I would be really grateful for any advice

I am sorry for you…

And yes factory reset will enable you with everything new.
So indeed you will be able to get a new recovery/seed phrase.

Also just check with community support like @forgi or @zapla because I am not sure if the factory reset is suficiente.

Hi, yes, wipe your Trezor and then setup up again to create a new seed.
