Hadn’t checked the value of my trezor wallet in a few months. So I plugged it in and accidentally went to trazor (dot) io instead of trezor (dot) io. It asked me to update the firmware, which made sense because I hadn’t used it in a few months. Updated the firmware, then it asked for my seed phrase to restore the wallet. That made sense to me, sure, you need to restore after a firmware update, and I didn’t pick up on the fact that it didn’t warn me, prior to the update, that I’d need my seed phrase to restore the wallet. Typed the seed phrase in, then nothing seemed to happen.
So I retyped in the trezor (dot) io website, spelled correctly this time. And it asked me to update the firmware. And my heart sank, because why would it need to update twice in 10 minutes? I’ve lost $17.3k so far, and I dare not touch anything else in case some of my shitcoins can be recovered. Right now it seems only BTC, ETH, and litecoin have been sent away.
This is terrible. If anyone knows anything I can do to get anything back, or stop my shitcoins from getting lost, too, I’d be grateful.
