How to reconcile accounts in the app and on the device? Can’t see a thing!!!
The device isn’t supposed to show your accounts.
(it can’t really, it does not have internet access)
the device’s job is to:
- show your address, so that you can verify it independent of the app
- confirm all signing operations (e.g. sending coins), which the app is not capable of doing on its own
When the account number is displayed on the Trezor Safe 5, Trezor Suite does not show the account to verify it against the device. And when Trezor Suite shows the account, it is not displayed on the device. Total crazy nonsense!
I can’t cross-check the account on the monitor and on the Trezor device at the same time!
i see, you’re talking about an address.
This is by design. You shouldn’t confirm against Suite. That’s useless.
You should confirm against where you’re pasting. So, the exchange page on your browser, or the message to your friend…
(if you confirm against Suite, some clipboard stealing malware can change the address. Then you confirm something and paste something else.)
