Help with Trezor Suite Update Issues and Connection Troubleshooting

Hey guys…

I am having some issues with my Trezor Model T and I could really use some help from the community. Everything was working fine until I updated the Trezor Suite software to the latest version last week. Since then, I’ve been experiencing connection problems, where my device is either not recognized by the Suite or takes a long time to connect.

I’ve already tried the basic troubleshooting steps like using different USB cables, switching USB ports, and even trying on a different computer (both Windows and macOS), but the issue persists. I’ve also reinstalled Trezor Suite and restarted my device multiple times. When I plug in the Trezor, sometimes it’s recognized right away, but most of the time it takes a few minutes or fails entirely.

Additionally, I noticed that the firmware update process also seemed slower than usual, and I had to restart it twice to get it completed. I’m starting to wonder if this is related to the USB connection or maybe a software bug.

Has anyone else encountered this issue after the recent update? If so, how did you resolve it? I’m considering resetting the Trezor, but I’m a bit hesitant because I don’t want to risk losing access to my funds or run into complications during the recovery process. Any advice on the best way to proceed would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hi @bixipi7618,

Here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try to take if you haven’t already:

  • Try connecting the Model T to different Chromium-based browsers with the web version of Trezor Suite. Additionally, consider opening Trezor Suite in Incognito/Privacy mode in each browser to see if that resolves the issue.

  • If you are using a VPN, certain advanced Firewall or Antivirus settings, browser extensions (such as AdBlock, Privacy Badger, etc.), or some cryptocurrency apps like MetaMask, try disabling/closing them.

  • Reset Trezor Suite to default settings by going to Settings, scrolling down, and clicking the App Reset button.
