Hi everyone,
I would like to propose a feature that I believe would massively improve the portfolio management capabilities of Trezor Suite: Custom Transaction Labels integrated with a Financial Analytics Dashboard.
Current Limitation
Right now, Trezor Suite allows us to add custom labels to accounts and receiving addresses. While this is helpful, it doesn’t solve a core problem: tracking why a specific transaction happened. Once a transaction is complete, we cannot attach a specific note or tag to it (e.g., “Freelance payment,” “Gift for family,” “Subscription,” or “Groceries”).
The Proposal
-
Transaction-Level Labeling (Notes/Tags)
-
Allow users to click on any transaction in their history and add a custom text label or assign it to a category.
-
This would allow us to easily remember and track the purpose of every inbound and outbound transaction.
-
-
Financial Analytics & Charts
-
Introduce a dedicated “Analytics” or “Insights” tab in Trezor Suite.
-
This tab would aggregate the data from our labeled transactions and display visual charts (pie charts, bar graphs, or line charts).
-
Users should be able to filter their spending and income by categories, weeks, months, or years to see exactly where their crypto is going and where it is coming from.
-
Why this matters
-
Privacy & Security: Currently, to get this level of financial tracking, users have to export their CSV files and upload them to third-party portfolio trackers or spreadsheets, which introduces privacy risks. Keeping this data local and encrypted within Trezor Suite aligns perfectly with Trezor’s privacy-first philosophy.
-
All-in-One Hub: It elevates Trezor Suite from just a basic wallet interface to a powerful, privacy-focused personal finance tool.
I would love to hear what the community and the development team think about this!
Thanks for considering.
