Fake Trezor websites

Unfortunately, even official operating system stores carry a lot of fake or malicious apps. In case of Microsoft store, my suspicion is it’s mostly fake or malicious apps. We try hard to catch and report the fakes that we find, but it is like fighting the rising tide: for every one reported, twenty new ones pop up.

somehow i landed on this website while connecting to my trezor, lost 13k

Hi @cabelstein,

I’m very sorry to read that.

Is it possible that this website occurs in the name of a scam ERC20 token that has been airdropped to your ETH address? More information on the airdrop scam tokens can be found at https://trezor.io/support/a/airdrop-scam-tokens

It is crucial to understand that the recovery seed is an express pass to all of your accounts. There is no other backup of it other than that which you created when you initialized your device. You need to keep your recovery seed safe, isolated and never exposed online (especially in the direct order). For more info on the recovery seed, please, refer to our user manual: https://trezor.io/learn/a/how-to-use-a-recovery-seed

Hi,

I was scammed also. I updated trezor suite via powershell winget upgrade command.

Than i connected trezor device (lats say after 3 month) and it not connect and asked for the seed. I did it, it was the desktop app so i trusted it.

In few minutes 10k disappeared… how is this even possible, that windows update will compromise the original app
