Fake Trezor websites

I suspect that I was a victim of this program as well since I entered my recovery seed multiple times after downloading it. I downloaded the correct program soon after but I discovered now, a month later, that there was a late night transaction that took all of my BTC. I do not know if this is related but if it is then this is a serious problem.

Unfortunately, even official operating system stores carry a lot of fake or malicious apps. In case of Microsoft store, my suspicion is it’s mostly fake or malicious apps. We try hard to catch and report the fakes that we find, but it is like fighting the rising tide: for every one reported, twenty new ones pop up.

Hi @cabelstein,

I’m very sorry to read that.

Is it possible that this website occurs in the name of a scam ERC20 token that has been airdropped to your ETH address? More information on the airdrop scam tokens can be found at https://trezor.io/support/a/airdrop-scam-tokens

It is crucial to understand that the recovery seed is an express pass to all of your accounts. There is no other backup of it other than that which you created when you initialized your device. You need to keep your recovery seed safe, isolated and never exposed online (especially in the direct order). For more info on the recovery seed, please, refer to our user manual: https://trezor.io/learn/a/how-to-use-a-recovery-seed
