Haven’t used my trezor (or metamask) in a hot minute thanks to the bear market.
Now opened my metamask and it asked me to recover or start a new account.
Well, I recovered using my seed phrase that I transferred over to my Trezor so now that seed phrase and account is inside MetaMask, where I do NOT want it.
Dumb me, I know.
But what’s the best way remove MetaMask from my crypto address and move it back to my cold wallet (Trezor)?
I remember that previously I created a dummy address on MM but I forget now.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you!
Hello,
Correct me if I’m wrong.
You still have your Trezor HW Wallet?
If that’s the case you have access to your coins via Trezor.
If that’s the case you have multiple options.
But all options require full access to your coins and setting up a new wallet (seedphase) and transfer the coins from the old wallet to the new wallet.

Just to be safe I’d personally make a brand new Trezor wallet, MetaMask will probably never get hacked and seeds leaked, not an expert but I’m sure they’d set up their infrastructure to be super secure for that sorta stuff. But just on principle, now that it’s been typed on an internet connected device you should treat it as compromised and make a new one.
Keep your metamask logged in, factory reset the trezor and make a new wallet, send the funds from your logged-in-to-metamask wallet to your new trezor wallet. Then log in to metamask with hardware wallet by using the “add hardware wallet” option.
