Checking wallet recovery from seed phrase. Is it necessary?

I bought a Trezor Safe 5, created a wallet and threw in a few coins and want to check the establishment before putting more money.
Which of the methods is better to choose

  1. Resetting via Trezor Suite to factory settings and then restoring?
  2. Use option in Trezor Suite - “Check wallet backup on Trezor Safe 5” ?
    Which path is better to choose?

option (2) is very slightly better: if you got the backup wrong enough that you can’t correct it to the right one, you will still have the option to send out the coins before you reset the wallet and generate a new backup.

other than that the results are going to be identical
