Best Practice for security on Trezor 5 and 3?

Hello, I bought a new Trezor safe 5 and have used a safe 3 with cryptos on it so far.

Now I want to change to safe 5 with all my cryptos and use the safe 3 as a mirror or copy of my safe 5. I also intend to use a passphrase from now on which I currently don’t use on the safe 3. What is the best practice to achieve this? Would it make sense to add a passphrase wallet to safe 3 first before I recover all on the safe 5? From what I understood, there can be used standard wallets and passphrase wallets on the same device. How to recover these wallets to safe 5 then?

Yes, you can do that. I suggest keeping a small amount of any cryptocurrency in your standard wallet; $5 should be sufficient.

How to recover these wallets to safe 5 then?

When you set up Safe 5, recover it using your Safe 3 seed. This way, Safe 3 and Safe 5 will use the same seed, wallet, and passphrase.
