Assistance with Restoring Wallet Using Recovery Seed

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my Trezor Model T for a few months now, and it’s been great. However, I’m in a situation where I need to restore my wallet using my recovery seed, and I’d really appreciate some guidance to make sure I do it correctly.

Here’s the scenario: I’ve recently updated my device firmware and performed a factory reset to troubleshoot an unrelated issue. I have my 24-word recovery seed written down safely, but I’m nervous about entering it incorrectly or doing something that might compromise my wallet.

  1. Is there a way to verify my recovery seed before restoring the wallet?
  2. Are there any specific precautions I should take while entering the recovery seed? For instance, should I disconnect my device from the internet during this process for extra security?
  3. Lastly, after the wallet is restored, do I need to manually re-add the coins/tokens I was managing before, or will they automatically appear once the process is complete?

I want to make sure I don’t lose access to my funds or accidentally compromise my security. Any tips or advice from the community would be a huge help.

Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to learning from your experiences.

There is an option in the suite to verify the correctness of the seed.
Of course, a more intuitive approach is: create a wallet, record 24 seeds, copy the first address of the BTC wallet into a txt file. Reset the wallet, use the seed to restore the wallet, copy the first receiving address of BTC in the restored wallet, and compare it with the original one. If they are exactly the same, it means that your 24 seeds are correct. This method is also effective for hidden wallets.

T’s recovery is to select the torrent on the device itself, there is no need to disconnect from the Internet.

If the suite is not reinstalled, it is basically not necessary.
