Can we FINALLY get native support for Monero (XMR) in the Trezor Suite?
It’s just frustrating to have to go through either Exodus or Monero GUI to manage my Monero every single time. What’s even more frustrating is having to wait for new Trezor wallets (like the Safe 5) to support external wallets like Exodus for Monero in the first place.
In an ideal world, we’d be able to manage ALL our coins from one convenient, secure, and consolidated platform – the Trezor Suite.
And while I understand that new coins come and go almost every day, and it’s impossible to support all of them – it doesn’t seem like much of a stretch to expect native support for a cryptocurrency that has been amongst the top 50 (by marketcap) for several years now, and is one of the only true privacy coins out there.
Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have plans to add Monero to Trezor Suite. While I understand this may be disappointing news for you to hear, please understand that we have several projects related to improving Trezor Suite and our mobile offering Trezor Suite Lite that require our full attention.
Both Monero and Trezor are open source projects. Perhaps you might want to consider contributing your own Trezor-compatible Monero wallet that includes the features you are seeking? This is a great opportunity to dive deep into the mechanics of your Trezor!
Not the answer I was hoping for, but hopefully this might change in the future?
I’m not a dev who can come out with a decent Monero wallet for Trezor – I’m just a crypto-enthusiast who would like to see his favorite wallet support his favorite coins, without the hassle
