It’s great that you can stake ETH directly from the Trezor Suite.
But what about other tokens?
SOL has done amazing recently, but there are quite a few other cryptocurrencies that are popular amongst stakers – AVAX, ATOM, DOT, ICP, NEAR, SCRT, or SOL, just to name a few.
It would be nice to be able to stake more assets directly from the Trezor Suite, enabling us users to use a single cold wallet, and a single platform (Trezor Suite) to manage ALL of our crypto.
Ledger is way ahead in this regard, and is probably a big reason why some customers STILL choose Ledger over Trezor, despite some of the company’s shady practices.
I think a good long-term goal would be to make Trezor (both the wallet AND the suite) the most secure, user-friendly, and convenient open-source solution to manage all (or at least: most) of our crypto assets. And this 100% includes being able to stake more (way more) than just ETH and ADA using the Trezor wallet and the Trezor Suite.
While expanding staking is certainly something we’re considering, it is, as you yourself put it “a good long-term goal.” For us to add staking with more cryptocurrencies, we need to first ensure that any staking solution we provide you is as user-friendly and secure as you have come to expect the rest of our ecosystem to be over the years.

Quick question: is it reasonable to expect these new features (once or if they’re rolled out) to be supported on older Trezor models (like the Model T, for example)?
I can’t speak to specifics of how it will be implemented in any coins, but I think it would be reasonable to expect it to be rolled out with any models that already support staking transactions on those coins via third party apps.
Okay, this sounds fair. I remember when you just had native support for ADA staking, and said you didn’t have any immediate plans to add ETH. Now that you have ETH staking in the Trezor Suite, I’m looking forward to which tokens you’ll support next.
