Hi everyone, I have a question that I saw with other hardware brands that say, for example, that they are in another country of origin of the user or are residents of certain countries and they cannot update the device and the company itself suggests using a VPN, with Trezor could it be the same or is that covered?
It depends on the country you are in. There might be an internet provider that is blocking our servers, but such a block can be avoided by enabling a VPN and then using the web version of Trezor Suite at Trezor Suite
I understand, but in that case do you have a list of countries where it is not allowed?
We do not block anybody from our side, therefore if someone blocks our services in a specific country, it’s their decision. We don’t have any list of providers that would block us.
From my experience, few people reported issues in Russia and China, but they avoided it easily by turning on a VPN.

I understand, but then with that, there would be no problem with updating or using the Trezor
There are no issues with updating or using your device while the communication is routed via VPN.
