The Trezor arrived, and it had a faulty USB-C cable, which shorted out multiple times upon setup.
I laid the Trezor flat on the table, as not to disturb the cable, but partially through the seed recovery setup, the USB shorted out – yet again, and I had to factory reset the device. After receiving a prompt directly from the device, to reinstall the firmware, I proceeded to reinstall it, and I was able to set the seed phrases up without issue.
Assuming that everything was fine, I proceeded to deposit crypto. When I went to check the notifications, to see if the deposits were successful, I saw that the “wallet backup recovery,” had failed.
Upon checking the notification logs tab, it appeared to be a failed backup from the first attempt, before the factory reset.
Now, my question is, was the wallet backup recovery successful, after the initial factory reset? Is the notification stating that the backup was unsuccessful, a false alarm? The new seed phrases appear to be working, as I have tested them in the recovery tool – twice. However, I want to be absolutely certain that everything is fine, for if something were to happen to my current Trezor device.
Lastly, any opinions on which USB-C cable I should order, as the one that shipped with my device, is malfunctioning extensively?
