Why does Trezor Suite sometimes ask ‘Have you used this Trezor before?’ and then ‘only continue with set up if you have used this Trezor before’.
I don’t remember seeing this before.
Why is it asking that?
Is it suspect?
well have you used the Trezor before?
if yes, then there’s no problem, right?
buuuuut if you were setting up a newly bought Trezor, that would indicate that someone else was using it before you - a potential problem, as i’m sure you’d agree.
Suite can read some indicators that the Trezor was already used. If the Suite doesn’t remember your Trezor, e.g., if you don’t use the Remember feature, it’s going to see a Trezor that it doesn’t remember seeing before, and asks you this to check that everything is ok.
