Trezor suite not loading on MacOS (July 2024)

I am having major issues loading Trezor Suite for desktop on a MAC. My MacOS is up to date (Mac Sonoma version 14.5). My Mac is a 2018 model with Intel.

The web version works to an extent BUT does not show my balance - it say ‘unable to load assets’ - which means I can neither view my coins, nor determine my wallet address to access it on a blockchain. The web version doesn’t have TOR either.

Can someone guide me on how to fix this please? It’s super anoying.

Hi @Rahul,

May I ask you to send us a screenshot of what you see in the desktop version of Trezor Suite? Also, please let us know whether you can access https://btc1.trezor.io/ in your browser.

HI, the link you sent is not working.

For the web version, it says 'Discovery error & ‘assets not loaded properly’. I am unable to see a TOR option on the web version.

For the desktop version, it just goes round and round in circles and says ‘this application seems to be hanging’ and gives me the option to quit, clear cache and restart or wait.

I have tried all options and none seem to be working.

I am certain this is a TOR issue - but how do i fix it if the app wont load?

Its been a month and there is no work around.

Help appreciated!

Hi @Rahul,

HI, the link you sent is not working.
For the web version, it says 'Discovery error & ‘assets not loaded properly’. I am unable to see a TOR option on the web version.

It means that your internet service provider is blocking access to our servers. Try using a VPN, it can help. Let us know if you are able to load your accounts in the web version of Trezor Suite when using a VPN.

I can confirm that the TOR feature is not available in the web version.

For the desktop version, it just goes round and round in circles and says ‘this application seems to be hanging’ and gives me the option to quit, clear cache and restart or wait.

Try to reinstall the app. If the issue with the desktop app persists, try to uninstall your standalone Trezor Bridge (if you have it installed) as well as the Trezor Suite desktop app and see if there is still a folder called @Trezor in the AppData folder.

You can find instructions on how to find the “AppData” folder on Windows at AppData – Where to Find the AppData Folder in Windows 10

On MacOS you can check that by typing command+space and looking for @Trezor.

If it is still there please delete it and install the Trezor Suite application again. Let us know whether it is possible to load it then. If so, make sure to enable the TOR feature, your accounts should load then.
