Hi everyone, I have a question. If my Trezor Safe 3 is physically attacked, could they access my funds, even if I have the passphrase option? Or would the passphrase keep the funds safe?
If the passphrase is strong enough, any Trezor will provide an additional level of protection.
But it’s better if strangers don’t know that you have a crypto wallet, because physical attacks on people have not been cancelled.
Trezor Safe 3 comes equipped with a Secure Element, which is significantly more resistant to pyhsical tampering than the main MCU that runs the Trezor firmware.
Meaning, unless the attackers can guess your PIN – on 16 attempts, with each attempt taking twice as long to verify – you’re going to be fine even without a passphrase.
If you are physically attacked, that’s a wholly different matter.
Wow, I didn’t know that, about attempts, of course. Okay, thanks a lot.
