trezor purchased on amazon had package partially damaged and void sticker didn't left full void marks behind

Hello!

so I bought my Trezor Safe 5 from the official Trezor Amazon store, when the package arrived I noticed that there was slight damage on the cardboard (the plastic wrap was still there with a very small cut far from the cardboard hole) and when I removed the void sticker, it didn’t leave a single full “void” word on the plastic

(the cardboard hole was smaller, I ripped it to the edge when I opened the package)

I used the official trezor suite to install the firmware, there were no warnings of previously installed firmware and the security check passed, is my trezor safe to use? is it normal that the void sticker doesn’t fully stay on the device?

thanks in advance

You can search for Trezor web page Authenticate Trezor Safe 5 (i can’t insert the link here).

IMHO it is more important how the sticker looked like before you removed it. You could compare its details it with the picture on above mentioned page.

Also these newest model devices have Secure Element chip helping to validate, that the device was not tampered. Trezor Suite should notify you during your initial setup.

thanks for your response!

I didn’t take a picture of the sticker before removing it, but I remember it looked like the photo shown in Authenticate Trezor Safe 5 article.

I also tested creating a new wallet a couple of times and I got different seed phrases every time, that plus the initial check, guess my trezor is safe to use

Hi @mario_m ,

based on the information you provided in the ticket and here your device is safe, as long as you purchased from official Amazon Trezor store.
