I’d like to update a trezor one, however suite does nothing when plugging it back in with both buttons pressed. The trezor one displays its sn, thats it. The installed firmware is 1.6 I believe. Is there a way to update this (without having to use trezorctl which i am not advanced enough to use).
I also have a new backup Trezor One. I tried setting that up, hoping I could just restore my wallet backup on the new one, however suite will not initialize a setup for the trezor one. It does nothing. The display has the welcome message, but that’s it.
Is the trezor one deprecated at this point? What would be the recommended process for someone who didnt touch their trezor for a number of years?

did you try different USB cable? Some of them are charging/power-delivery only without data lines.
The USB port on Trezor HW device is inactive until you enter the PIN, but uninitialized first-time used device does not have any PIN, so it should be recognized. That’s why i would check different USB cable or different USB port/computer.
And sure, new model like TS5 is much better, robust and secure product, than more than 10+ year old design. Despite of that, Trezor Company still releases firmwares for Model One (last release: 19 February 2025).

My trezor one just oneday changed eth address to unknown one My funds are still showing on original address but cant get it on my trezor.seed says still good pin works just whole new empty address.Not hidden wallet used standard only.My ither 2 work fine show fine on Metamask.3rd trezor sent and recieved on metamask between my other wallets. Of coarse this was my deep sorage with most of my tokens.Desperate only used trezor.Is this a trezor problem has anyone experienced similar?

address is given by your “Seed” words or “Seed+Passphrase”. PIN is not relevant to your address(es), it just authenticate and authorize user to use it.
If you didn’t reset the device and generated a new “Seed” or if you recovered some other (testing “Seed”), the address can’t change.
I’m not Eth fan, but just curios - did you try to install Trezor Suite application + add Eth account. But sure way is to open support ticket with Trezor.
