My Bitcoin was stolen from my Trezor on Dec 26, 2024.
It was sent to bc1q8z2ncsna5j0ex3hyfgple67jf6ygzxm7m8286a without my knowledge.
I don’t know how they did it since I never shared my seed phrase with anyone.
Is there anything Trezor can do to help?
So sad, I saw that 0.5 BTC was stolen. Unfortunately, Trezor can’t do anything. Blockchain transactions are irreversible.
When your BTC is stolen from hardware, the biggest possibility is that your seed phrase has been leaked somehow. For example, do you store it as plain text in your email, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.? Or do you take a picture of it and upload the picture somewhere, like in your email, on your phone, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.?
If your seed phrase has indeed been compromised, it is best to reset your Trezor and generate a new seed phrase.
