New user here, I am about to claim funds from a website, rather than asking for my wallet address it is asking permission to export my public keys and pair devices. Is this usual?

Yes, it’s not unusual that online exchanges ask for you XPUB address. You must decide if you want to give that to them though. Anyone with your XPUB key can see all your transaction in the blockchain for that coin, not just your latest transaction. So the difference is that a single wallet address is more private than the XPUB address.
