I have just bought the Trezor One. I have set it up correctly (i think and it seems to be working OK). However when I disconnect from my device and reconnect later I am not prompted for the PIN. Is this normal? I just plug it in and I can see the contents of the device. Surely I should be promoted for a pin. Can anyone please advise me - I would be most grateful for any guidence.

well it is not mandatory to set up the PIN, but definitely it is recommended. You probably chose skip PIN in initial setup wizard in Trezor Suite.
But you can set it up anytime later in Trezor Suite. See Trezor learn portal page:

Don’t worry, you will be asked to re-enter your pin when you need to send coins elsewhere.
