Is it ok not to update the Trezor?

Hi,

I finally started using my Trezor T… Is it ok to use it and never update the firmware? I worry as reading previous posts people had trouble accessing there accounts, think some were user error like forgetting passphrase but others didnt elaborate. as long as you have your seed and passphrase then there is nothing to worry about. Updates are recommended as they bring more features and security.
