So you’re aware there is no scheduled time any Bitcoin block is confirmed at, so sometimes confirmation of any of your transactions could be delayed if 20 or 30+ minutes pass without a block being confirmed. This is completely normal, and is a part of ensuring the reliability of the network. You can observe this phenomenon for yourself occurring in the block history of any Bitcoin blockchain explorer.
While I don’t know the policies of any specific exchange, it’s also possible that the larger transaction may have required more strenuous checks than the smaller ones you made before they sent you the bitcoin.
