Have I won the cosmic lottery or is something wrong?

I recently bought 2 different trezors. Took my time, set them up. I was extremely surprised to find that the 2 different seeds gave me the same word twice repeated, at the same emplacement. My brain couldnt fathom how unlikely that was. So, paranoid as we all are in this industry, I come to you to ask you what you think. Have I won at the “Random and probabilities are amazing” lottery, or is there something more going on in the generation process of the seeds?

It seems so improbable! Ive never been good with numbers, but if im not mistaking the probability of that happening is 1/2048^4, which is a number so small its basically impossible. I know its not impossible, and there so many different combinations possible that at some point it had to happen, but I cant help but wonder…

Fwiw the Trezors were bought directly on Trezor website and were correctly sealed.

Just so Im clear:
Seed 1:
1-X
2-X
3- SAME WORD
4- SAME WORD
5-X
6-X

Seed2:
1-X
2-X
3-SAME WORD
4-SAME WORD
5-X
6-X

This seems so unlikely it got me paranoid.

Found my own answer.

I neither won the cosmic lottery, nor something is wrong. The first four words encode information about the type of backup. This is why the third and fourth word in Single-share Backups are always the same.

Hi Kelnel,

You are correct, the third and fourth words in the Single share backup are always the same.
