Hi there, I am having some serious problem with a specific adress after almost 2 years being untouched, to summarize, every transaction I try ( sending or swapping) my metamask just crash, trezor pup-pop as usual but after that, start to loop and then crash. Both trezor and metamask are up to date and this keeps happening. Also, I have been using trezor for long time with others addresses created in same day this one was made, and no problems at all, works flawlessly.
@nolongersingle Here are some suggestions to help with connecting Metamask to Trezor:
- Check if your device is recognized in the Device Manager on your computer, or connects to the desktop or web version of Trezor Suite. For MacOS, the device manager is under the system report (Apple Menu > About This Mac > More Info… > scroll down > System Report… > Hardware > USB).
- Try using different Chromium-based browsers with Metamask. Additionally, consider opening Metamask in Incognito/Privacy mode in each browser to see if that resolves the issue.
- Consider clearing the cache and deleting cookies from your browser.
- If you are using a VPN, certain advanced Firewall or Antivirus settings, browser extensions (such as AdBlock, Privacy Badger, etc.), or other cryptocurrency apps like Trezor Suite, try disabling/closing them.
Thank you for your cooperation in trying these. Best of luck!
Nothing you mentioned worked so far.
Just reinstall metamask successfully and adress no longer appears now.
5 days past, and the problem still and support i am getting from the ticket I made seems very limited, Agent only says basic things and insist that address is a hidden one but I am COMPLETELY sure is not.
Hi @nolongersingle,
I am sorry to hear you are still unable to access your crypto. From what you describe now it does sound like a passphrase issue as Metamask is able to connect with your Trezor. However, because the address is not appearing anywhere on the list of addresses on your Trezor, you are most likely using a different passphrase wallet.
The passphrase works like an additional word to 12, 24, or 20 words of your wallet backup that is not stored on your Trezor device. When the passphrase feature is enabled, Trezor will ask you to enter the passphrase which will then be combined with the actual wallet backup (12, 24, or 20 words generated during Trezor setup) and a new unique backup will be created. We say that each particular passphrase will let you access a unique wallet hidden behind that passphrase.

Dont waste your time putting automatic answers in this post, your agents already did by email…
