Hi, back in 2020, I used a Trezor One to receive some EWT tokens (Energy Web). Now, four years later, I’m trying to get access to those tokens. I’ve tried Metamask, but no way to get my public address listed in there. Metamask lets me connect my Trezor and setup a custom RPC, but it won’t let me set the right custom derivation path. The Trezor Suite no longer seems to support either custom derivation path or custom RPC, or the Energy Web Token.
I have my private key on my Trezor One, I know the public address of the funds in question. But I can’t figure out a solution to access those.
What does Trezor offer for help in this instance ?
Hi @mr-jgi,
It looks like the token you want to access is only on the Gnosis blockchain. There is no need to worry; your funds are not lost. Gnosis is one of the EVM-compatible networks supported by the firmware of all devices including your Trezor Model One.
These networks use the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), operating independently of the Ethereum mainnet and often validated differently from Ethereum’s Proof of Stake protocol. Currently, only the Polygon network is supported directly in Trezor Suite due to the backend server being used.
To discover your funds using the MetaMask extension, please follow these steps:
Then you need to add Gnosis to MetaMask. Please visit https://chainlist.org/, find Gnosis, and select “Add to MetaMask” then “Approve” and “Switch network”. You can also find the process (with a different network though) in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et4AP4SUa4E
