BTC replace-by-fee app dont respect the newly set fee

Hello,
I would like to ask how to use the replace-by-fee (RBF) feature for BTC within Trezor Suite.
I have entered a BTC transaction with a low fee and I would like to increase the fee using the RBF feature. But the app does not respect my newly set fee, but sets its own (higher) fee without any explanation. Why?

I guess that fee is additional in case of RBF by design. So your current fee is added to the previous fee.

I think i read somewhere it is designed this way to avoid spamming the BTC network by RBF transactions.
